A Mirror that Receives SMS Messages From Mobile Phones

+336+ SMS Mirror

DESIGNER: Robert Stadler

336-main1“ Mirror, Mirror upon the wall, tell me who’s the fairest of all? ” Could you answer that question asked by Snow White’s step mom? Well, to be honest, the mirror himself is the fairest of all! Surpassing all fairy tales told long long ago, the mirror suddenly turns so futuristic that it takes us by our breathe. The +336+ designed by Robert Stadler is a mirror able to receive SMS messages sent from a mobile phone. The messages appear in radiant text running on the mirrors surface when one gets close to the mirror. It might turn out to be a freaky thing on your wall. Imagine, you’re doing your hair, when suddenly an SMS message  crops up on the mirror surface, “Come to the Barber’s shop sharp at 7, if you try to escape, you will have to face delirious circumstances.”

This very special device has been designed by Robert Stadler (of the French design group Radi Designers) and, at the first sight, looks like any ordinary mirror. However, the +336+ SMS Mirror provides users with more than their own reflection, as it can actually receive SMS messages sent from a mobile phone and display them as luminous text, running on the mirrors’ surface when one gets close to the mirror.

Despite being quite an interesting device, who might have appealed to quite a large number of users, this thing will be manufactured in a very limited edition, of just 20 units. And since we’re talking about a very rare item, it’s no wonder that the +336+ SMS Mirror has a $10,000 price tag, which is way beyond the financial possibilities of most of its potential customers.
